Anne is of Canadian descent, and she is the director, founder and English Department head at English Girona. Anne majored in English Literature from Langara College in Vancouver, BC, and later on, obtained a TEFL certificate. She is also a Cambridge Speaking Examiner and nowadays is taking both an English Teaching course at Arizona State University and studying a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Communication at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She has been teaching English for over 12 years and during this time, she has worked with different professionals, peoples of all ages, and levels as an English teacher. As of today, at our academy, she is in charge of training students whom are aiming at different official examinations.
Albert is the Catalan and Spanish teacher at English Girona. He is also the co-founder of the school and management's right hand. Albert has a Spanish Teaching Certificate as well as a TEFL certificate for teaching English as a second language. Nowadays, he is finishing the specialized TESOL course at Arizona State University. He also teaches Japanese to beginners.
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Bonny is currently completing her Master in Education from the University of Birmingham. She studied her bachelor's degree in psychology and education at Simon Fraser University while working for the Vancouver School Board and various community centres teaching English language arts. As a native English speaker and a motivated teacher, Bonny is prepared to listen and adapt to her students' needs in order for them to feel confident using English.
Tèrése has been working as a French teacher for eight years. She is from the little town of Ansouis, and she moved to Girona two years ago. She had previously been working as a translator and teacher in a language school in Barcelona. Tèrése teaches both adults and children.
Fend Dai is from Shanghai and has worked in Australia and New Zealand as a Chinese teacher. She has decided to move to Europe to explore different cultures. She is been living in Girona for six months and is learning Spanish and Catalan very quickly.
Tolkien is English Girona's official pet. His name has granted him the position of elvish language teacher, only available in private lessons. He is also an expert in canine language, as he would say: "woof" "woof" "woof!"
